Professor of Sociology of Law at the Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen, in the Netherlands. She does interdisciplinary and international comparative research on gender, ethnicity and diversity. Her research examines the ways in which the law affects the everyday life of migrants in the Netherlands, and she currently leads a project on “Transnational families between Dutch and Islamic Law.” She will be our key collaborator in the Netherlands regarding the history of legal issues, changes and challenges regarding the new legislations adopted by the Dutch government pertaining to marriage migration.
