Associate Professor of Gender and Women’s Studies at the University of Arizona. She has published Entry Denied: Controlling Sexuality at the Border (Univ. of Minn. Press, 2002) and co-edited the volume Queer Migration: Sexuality, U.S. Citizenship, and Border Crossings (Univ. of Minn. Press, 2005), both of which documenting how migrant’s sexuality has long been viewed as a threat to US national security, to be contained through strict border-monitoring practices. She will be our key collaborator in the United States, and will help us assess and compare migration policies pertaining to same-sex marriage and partnership.
